EXPLORATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE (2025)

Time / Light / Space

Time / Light / Space: the task was to take several pictures with the emphasis on either of those aspects by altering the aperture / shutter speed / focus. This task is supposed to make one comfortable with using the camera’s manual mode in order to complete the upcoming tasks.

Emulation Project

This task’s main point was to present the chosen photographer’s work and to “emulate” his work and technique. The template was designed by me in Canva. Here you can see a presentation of it:

Collage

The task here was to make a collage on the topic of: “This is me”. Here, I decided to experiment with the linguistic aspect of it and portray how I really think (in several languages) and touch upon the subject of national identity and the fusion of them.

Cyanotypie / Blueprint

These images were made out of negative prints or plants that were found outside with the technique of blueprinting.

Reportage Photogrraphy

The task here was to photograph everyday life as it is.

Self-portrait

This self-portrait is a reference to the film “Det Perfekte Menneske” by Jørgen Leth (1968) and here I wanted to emulate the hand movements of the “Perfect Human” and how alien, mysterious and sterile the film looked.

Final Project

This work illustrates how the changes on a personal level occur. Each photo symbolizes a quote from a poem of my writing and showcases how one could go through these transformations, see the world through the eyes of others and become a different person. The final image was taken using auto-mode and has had zero editing for a reason. When one accepts oneself, there is no need for filters, change of images or symbolism and everything is the way it is. The technique I used was multiple exposure and that was later on edited in Photoshop (basic RAW editing and color grading).
